Here you'll discover a feast of delights. Nestling on the eastern flank of Corstorphine Hill and entered from Craigcrook Road, the Castle has been lovingly restored by Edinburgh design company Zebrano as a treasure trove of furniture, fabrics, lighting, pictures and unusual accessories.

This is a place for serious browsing; but since it's also the base for Scotland's newest interior design practice it's also the ideal environment for discussing your design ideas with the resident experts. Whatever desires or designs you have in mind, Zebrano's team are always happy to listen and make helpful suggestions.
Furnished in a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles, theCastle features custom-made cabinetry, antiques, restoration work and samples of upholstery and soft furnishings created on site. Since Zebrano is also the Scottish stockist for some of the UK's leading furniture makers, many samples of their products are also displayed.

You could spend hours scanning Zebrano's huge collection of quality fabrics, trimmings, wallpapers and floor coverings. It's not all swags and tails either: cutting edge contemporary is equally represented. The good news is, individuality needn't cost a fortune: many of the items here are no more expensive than you'd find in the High Street.
Zebrano offers a first class upholstery service, each piece skilfully restored under the watchful eye of Stephen Shanley, Master of Upholstery. All curtains are designed and made on site, with hand selected traditional or contemporary trimmings to set off the window as a key feature of the room. Further inspiration can be found in the bedroom suite that definitely has that wow factor. Wherever you go in the Castle your eye will be drawn to unusual accessories sourced from around the world.
DESIGN SKILLS
Zebrano offers a full design service for commercial and residential interiors. Private and commercial clients alike can expect a quality result and first class service from a team committed to total customer care. The team's talents were tested at the end of 2005 when they were contracted to refurbish Cosmo Restaurant within a three-week closedown. "To work to such a tight deadline we adopt an 'extended family' approach, pulling together a team of trusted tradesmen and suppliers," says Isabel. "We completed on time and within budget, just as we promised."
Zebrano's service has reached France, where a client's second home was redecorated, furnished and equipped in French style. "We were overwhelmed by the house - it is absolutely perfect" sums up the client's delight. Zebrano is now promoting this service in the south of France.

ISABEL RIDLEY is Zebrano's founder. She is a highly successful Scottish entrepreneur who thrives on turning start ups into successful businesses.
JOANNA DAVIES is a graduate in interior design and construction management and a member of the British Interior Design Association.
STUART RIDLEY is a business and operations management honours graduate who specialises in commercial projects.
MALCOLM DUFFIN is Zebrano's Head of Design. A Member of the British Interior Design Association, he is one of the country's leading personalities in interior design and decoration.
LOUISE CAMMOCK is an arts honours graduate who specialises in residential projects and antiques.
STEPHEN SHANLEY is Zebrano's Head of Workshops. As a traditionally trained Craftsman, he has 30 years' specialist upholstery and soft furnishings experience.
