Whether you choose our TIO or FLM package, the most important issue is matching the requirements of your property with the requirements of the right tenants. We are experts at preparing and advertising properties to attract trustworthy tenants.
Our own award winning website is our primary advertising platform, and we also advertise on the leading property portals. In addition, we can add your property to our To Let list and look at whether signage is appropriate for your property.

Advertising
We recommend that a property is advertised to let 6-8 weeks before the preferred date of entry, however, the timescale very much depends on the type of property and market conditions. Once we are appointed we will recommend an appropriate timescale for your property.
We will advertise your property through a number of mediums including the internet, where over 75% of our tenant enquiries originate. On all internet portals we offer photographs as well as text and the following internet advertising is undertaken as standard:
www.rettie.co.uk carries up to 6 photographs of the property and is recognised as one of Edinburgh and the Lothians prime property websites. In 2010, our redeveloped website was recognised at the UK Property Awards, receiving two awards for Best UK and Best International Real Estate Agency Website of the Year. Furthermore, it is well known by firms locally and nationally relocating to Edinburgh.
www.lettingweb.com is a national portal and specialises in property letting. The portal offers a property matching service which can be based upon all or some of the following: area, price, number of rooms, furnished/unfurnished.
www.citylets.co.uk is a Scottish and Northern Irish portal which specialises in property letting. As with Lettingweb, the search facility can be personalised to the tenant’s individual requirements. This portal links onto a large number of well-known and popular property websites.
www.primelocation.co.uk is a national portal for property to rent in the UK, as well as properties for sale in the UK and overseas. This portal uses regular TV advertising.
www.rightmove.co.uk is the UK’s number one property website with properties for sale and rent in the UK and overseas. The portal uses regular TV advertising and marketing.

Rettie 'To Let' list
We produce a ‘To Let List’ twice weekly giving text details and a photograph of properties available, and this is available from our office, as well as being emailed. The list is also circulated to relocation companies, banking and insurance corporations, as well as main employers and contacts. If you would like to join the mailing list, please click here.
Signage
'To Let' boards are a particularly cost effective method of advertising and profile building. Additionally, the board identifies the property to those with an appointment to view as well as to those passing by. We erect Rettie & Co. To Let boards for all properties, dependent on location and client instruction.
We also have a liveried car for viewings, and as a firm we undertake regular marketing and advertising campaigns to raise and broaden our brand profile for the benefit of our clients.
