I don’t need to remind anyone of the undeniable impact Coronavirus is having on our everyone’s lives and industry. The Rettie business is no different and we’ve had to make some significant changes to the way we operate to help our clients (and our team) through this time.
Despite the challenges, we count ourselves lucky on two parts.
OK, so I’m not claiming that anyone was prepared for the magnitude of the COVID-19 situation. But with robust business continuity plans in place, the entire Rettie team have adapted to working from home. We’re missing each other’s company (and baking!) but with video conferencing we’re keeping up to date with progress of everyone’s ‘working from home’ beards.
…and we’re all crazy for technology.
We have always prided ourselves by offering clients a personal service; real people, having face to face conversations, offering genuine expertise. Our client needs and expectations have been changing over recent years and so we have been offering virtual alternatives to some meeting types for some time. But now, rather than these being the exception, they’ve become the norm.
If we can’t take you to our properties, we’ll bring our properties to you!
We’re now offering virtual video tours for many of our properties for sale and to let. Some of these have been filmed by professionals, some by Rettie staff and others by the property owners themselves. Videos bring properties to life, helping viewers to imagine turning houses into homes.

We have created detailed guides for homeowners, providing filming hints and tips to help showcase their home and all it has to offer. Some of these tips are simple (turn the lights on, keep the camera steady, make sure the washing has been put away) and others are more detailed to ensure you create the most accurate and realistic presentation of your property.
