G3: The Place to Be

G3: The Place to Be

news

Situated at the end of one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in the city is Finnieston’s quiet neighbour Yorkhill. This is a community with a mixture of young professionals, families, and students. It is perfectly located for those studying at University of Glasgow or who have only a short walk to work in the City Centre.

Yorkhill is the perfect hub for access to Partick, Kelvinbridge, and the City Centre, providing peace and quiet while being only a stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Sharing the G3 postcode with Kelvingrove Park and Museum, the music and arts venues SWG3 and SSE Hydro, and plentiful bars and restaurants (often boasting celebrity visitors), there is always something going on in Yorkhill. From hipster joints to traditional Scottish bars, Michelin Guide recommended Ox and Finch and The Gannet, to hidden gems down the cobbled lanes, there is plenty for everyone. With the rise of purpose-built student accommodation comes several new restaurants and food vans popping up bringing new cuisines and cultures to the West End.

Personal favourites include Baffo Pizza—arguably the best pizza in Glasgow—Porter and Rye, and Dukes, the cosy bar on Old Dumbarton Road where once upon a time The Clash played.

Nicknamed ‘The Golden Triangle’ by one of our portfolio landlords, the area appeals to a broad range of people looking to invest in or move into the area. From the modern buildings on Kelvinhaugh Street to the red sandstone tenements around the old children’s hospital, there are plentiful options and is no shortage of applicants for rental properties.
