Key Findings


• Return to growth in the Scottish housing market at the start of the year, with average prices up 2% and transactions up 3%.

• Cash purchases are on the rise and now account for over 40% of property sold by value in the UK.

• The number of mortgage products in the UK are increasing (up 24% year-on-year), with mortgage lending to first time buyers and those re-mortgaging increasing significantly, but lending to home movers is falling.
