BTR Gets Moving in Scotland

  • A number of new BTR schemes have been announced in Scotland, with PLATFORM_ making their first foray into Scotland through the buying of a site in Glasgow and work starting on the Studio Dundee scheme. This increases the total of BTR units operational or in planning in Scotland to nearly 4,000 units.
  • Moda have also just applied for planning permission to develop out their Holland Park scheme in Glasgow, hot on the heels of another planning application for a Get Living BTR scheme in the same city.
  • Gross rental yields remain strong in the main Scottish cities compared to other cities down south, which is stimulating the interest. Average gross rental yields in Glasgow are now close to 6%.
