4-6 Melville Street
4-6 Melville Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, EH3 7HL
Melville Street offered six high-specification apartments in the desirable city centre location of Edinburgh’s West End, within easy walking distance of George Street for shopping, Stockbridge for dining and the Water of Leith for walking.
These original townhouses, which were completed in 1823, are a classic four storey terrace. The property has been lovingly converted into luxurious modern apartments offering grand rooms with some beautiful period details.
The French doors are one particular highlight. These lead out to south-facing balconies with glass barriers which give the apartments plenty of sunlight.
Living areas on the first floor are generously proportioned, with lofty ceilings and highly ornate cornicing cementing the sense of grandeur. They came complete with focal point gas fireplaces alongside floor to ceiling sash and case windows that allow natural light to flood in. There is also direct access to a large kitchen for maximum convenience.
Each apartment also came with the added benefit of a parking space, which was available by separate negotiation.
Edinburgh Haymarket Station is a 12-minute walk, providing direct trains to Glasgow (50 minutes), Aberdeen (2 hours 10 minutes), Inverness (3 hours 35 minutes) and London (4 hours 25 minutes).
Edinburgh Airport is only a 20-minute drive or a 30 minute train journey, with connections to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
A modern tram connects the city centre with a reliable service running between the West End (the nearest tram stop is just a two-minute walk away), York Place, Murrayfield Stadium and Edinburgh Airport.
