Purpose of the role

An exciting opportunity to establish and grow a team, mirroring the exceptional sales performance of our existing New Homes sales teams.

Your primary function is to build effective relationships with existing and potential new clients with the objective of generating fee income.  As part of this function it is essential that you develop and lead an effective team of sales and marketing professionals, to provide the high level of service required by our clients. You will be responsible for winning new business for New Homes, as well as training, managing and motivating a team to achieve the department KPIs.  This will require you to operate efficient and customer focused sales systems, adhere to all compliance requirements and to input into the marketing strategy for the department. You will demonstrate knowledge of the local market and will be an effective networker who has/develops an active network within the local professional community and understands how to utilise your personal and professional network in order to maximise new business opportunities for the department.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Managing the New Homes Sales & Marketing team to ensure they meet agreed KPI’s as well as completing all necessary administration.
  • Winning new business by tailoring Rettie & Co service to each individual client
  • Build effective and long-lasting business relationships with builders, developers and other clients as well as relevant influencers in the industry such as solicitors, surveyors and marketing professionals
  • Implement and adapt the highly effective approach of the other geographically located New Homes operations
  • Actively cross sell Rettie & Co. services
  • Responsible for the Marketing Strategy of all new sites
  • Sales forecasting
  • Build detailed knowledge of developer clients and home buyers individual needs
  • Present a professional image, maintaining company and operational standards

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in a managerial role within a sales environment.
  • Expert in handling sales negotiations.
  • Knowledge of the residential sales processes within the Scottish market.
  • Proven ability to deliver financial targets and KPIs.
  • Proficient in the use of IT systems including MS Word, Excel & Outlook. 
  • Knowledge of the Glasgow residential market
