Mixed experience - we interviewed three estate agents similar class of Estate agents. Like every seller you have high hopes of quick sale. Rettie operate by office or division - we initially listed through local office, with view that we listed through Town and Country team also. After a number of months, it was evident the local office could not promote property as effectively as wanted ( just too Glasgow) not enough Town and Country. After challenging the marketing strategy - we moved to the Town and Country team, we reviewed the situation - priced right, some solid advice from our Agent Andrew L we managed to sell our property. Granted location and unique nature of property made it more challenging - it solid advice ( and being open to it) made selling easier. Unfortunately, Andrew L left business before the sale concluded - but he has our thanks. Unfortunately there was no further contact from Rettie, no courtesy call. While I'm grateful for opportunity to write a review - my experience was mixed. They are great team - but you need the right team from Rettie with the right advice from outset.

Would I use Rettie again, yes, but I would interview and ensure I have right team who know their patch. Lack of a Courtesy call - especially after sale was completed was disappointing.

I found the two people I had dealings with (Andrew Smith and Charlotte Canby) truly excellent. I was impressed initially by Andrew's rapport with me. And Charlotte, who actually did the work was everything one could hope for: efficient and attentive far beyond any reasonable expectation. Overall Rettie seems to me to show great professionalism and total integrity. They also obtained a higher price than I thought others were likely to achieve.
