Each fortnight, The Rettie Property Blog is going to take a look at a price point in the market to show you what you can expect for your money. Today, we are looking at the £450,000 bracket.

Hark back to 1998, when the BBC news website reported three bedroom Notting Hill Flats went for £450,000 (as did, in Hartlepool apparently, “entire blocks of terraced homes”). These days, a three bed Notting Hill flat can set you back in the region of £3.5 million pounds, and incidentally, property prices in Hartlepool have risen 140% since April 2000 – but then, this is not why we’re here. Back to the present day.
