Unmatched Demand in Glasgow West End: Recent Sales Prove Now Is the Time to Sell

Rettie were just excellent - from Lewis, who took the time to understand what our flat meant to us and the changes we'd made to it, to Jennifer who was excellent in organising the sales process - the team made everything a complete dream to manage. It was a far better experience than trying to sell previously with a different West End estate agent - once the other agent had our marketing fee it was like they forgot we existed, whereas Rettie even encouraged us to try an experimental new style of video with me featured in it as an owner. Every viewer mentioned the video and I think it really helped to humanise/personalise the experience - so hats off to Rettie for their bold experimental approach, and to their videographer Ali for his excellent work too.

Rettie helped us sell our Park district flat for what it was actually worth, after we'd had a really disappointing experience with another estate agent. The difference between Rettie and the other company was clear from the off: their area manager visited and chatted to us for about 90 minutes, and that was followed up by another visit from the two members of staff who would be managing the property sale and doing the viewings. We probably got about 2.5hrs + of their time which is about 5x more than the other company! We had a figure in mind when we went to sell & our previous attempt fell well below that. Obviously your mileage may vary but we really do believe that Rettie played a big role in showcasing the flat's true value. We listed on a Friday and had accepted an offer first thing Monday morning. Our first attempt not using Rettie was about 4% over Home Report, which was not a fair figure for the flat we sold, but with Rettie we came in at about 15%, we believe from looking at nearby places that our sale is one of the highest prices per square meter for a flat of this kind. We used the enhanced marketing package because we knew that the flat needed proper showcasing & the video that we put together really moved the needle - thousands of views etc. A small price to pay to make sure that your flat is correctly showcased. As I said to the area manager (who was available to WhatsApp at any point) - Rettie, no regretti!
