We’re delighted to be attending the Kilmacolm & Port Glasgow Agricultural Show for the first time this year, and we’re especially pleased to be bringing our Rettie trailer along. If you’ve not attended before, this is a much-loved local event that offers something for all ages. It’s a true community occasion, and we’re proud to be part of it.

Join Us at Knapps Loch

The show will take place on Saturday 9th May at the picturesque setting of Knapps Loch, providing an ideal backdrop for a spring day out.

Visitors can look forward to a wonderful mix of family entertainment, food and drink, local businesses, and of course, a wide range of animals. Whether you’re attending with family, meeting friends, or simply enjoying a relaxed day out, it promises to be a very enjoyable occasion.

What’s Happening at Our Stand?

We have a number of activities planned throughout the day, and we’d be delighted to welcome you to our stand.

For younger visitors, we’re hosting a “Design Your Dream Home” competition, with the opportunity to win vouchers from Three Sisters Bake.

For adults, or anyone feeling fortunate, there will also be a prize draw offering vouchers from Buzzworks Holdings, redeemable across a selection of excellent local venues.

In addition, there will be face painting, a selection of Rettie giveaways, including our popular jute bags.

We’ll also be showcasing a selection of beautiful homes currently available on the market, alongside insights into recent sales and upcoming opportunities. Whether you’re considering the value of your current property or exploring what is available locally, our team will be on hand to provide guidance and advice.

Celebrating Local Partnerships

We’re proud to be working alongside some outstanding local businesses.

Buzzworks operates a number of highly regarded venues across the west coast, including The Coach House, known for its welcoming atmosphere and quality dining, as well as establishments such as Scotts.

We’re pleased to partner with Three Sisters Bake, a well-known local favourite celebrated for its exceptional cakes and signature savoury bakes. Their presence can be found at markets throughout the country, as well as at their regular pop-up event in Quarriers Village.

A Personal Reflection

This event holds particular personal significance. Having grown up in Kilmacolm, I attended the show regularly throughout my childhood.

One of the most memorable aspects was the sight and sound of helicopter rides overhead throughout the day, a feature that, while no longer present, added a distinctive atmosphere to the event at the time.

The show itself has evolved considerably over the years. Previously held across multiple locations, including the former fairground at Birkmyre Park, it is now consolidated into a single site, enhancing accessibility and the overall visitor experience.

A Day for Everyone

From livestock and craft displays to artisan stalls, food and drink, and a traditional beer tent, the show offers something for everyone and can easily be enjoyed as a full day out.

If you're thinking about buying or selling, the show is the perfect opportunity to speak with our local team. Come and chat with us at our stand on Saturday 9th May - we’ll be on hand to offer friendly, expert advice on moving in and around the area.
