KEY FINDINGS

• The Scottish Government appears still to be driving councils to meets its 50,000 affordable homes target this parliamentary term, with a 29% rise in affordable housing approvals and £1.75 billion allocated to Scottish councils.

• However, there is some industry concern that there is now some rowing back from this target.

• Various measures show a stalled new build market in Scotland and the rest of the UK, with new build completions only up 2% over the year in Scotland and starts down 5%.
