The latest of our sales bulletins has been released. The findings have come from our carefully researched data courtesy of the Rettie & Co. Research Team, Scotland’s largest dedicated property research department.
Key Findings
• Seems clear evidence of a flattening of the housing market over the last 6 months, with little change in average prices and market activity levels as well subdued lending figures.
• The main Scottish cities all saw a drop back in activity levels at the end of 2016, with Aberdeen down 16% in Q4 2016 compared to the previous year and Glasgow and Edinburgh both down 5%.
• Lending to home movers in Scotland dropped back 9% in Q4 2016 compared to the previous year, although first-time buyer lending rose marginally.
