The latest of our lettings bulletins has been released. The findings have come from our carefully researched data courtesy of the Rettie & Co. Research Team, Scotland’s largest dedicated property research department.

Key Findings

• The City of Edinburgh Council has recently voted to investigate creating a Rent Pressured Zone (RPZ) in some or all parts of the city, potentially with significant implications for the private rented sector.

• Meanwhile, annual rental growth in Edinburgh and Glasgow is running at 5% on the basis of advertised rents, but growth has slowed to an average of 1% per quarter over the last three quarters.

• There are other signs that the rental sector is levelling off, with a stalling of growth in limited company BTLs and BTL lending rates have stopped falling in 2017.
